JUST WHO ARE THE CURTAIN TIME PLAYERS?
The Curtain Time Players are a group of performers, stage hands, and production assistants that multiple times per year put on performances for the Residents, Family and Friends. The troupe is made up entirely of residents, we direct and produce our own plays and provide an extra entertainment element to the community. The primary purpose of the group is to have fun and convey fun to the community, through our peformances.
WHERE DO WE REHEARSE AND PERFORM?
The Curtain Time Players utilizes the main stage, auditorium and adjoining rooms to both perform and rehearse. This provides us with plenty of backstage space, performance space and an auditorium which we plan on providing a comfortable performance experience for up to 220 people.
WHY DO WE CHARGE FOR OUR PERFORMANCES?
We are dedicated to providing the best possible environment and technology for our performances. We buy or make all of our costumes, props, make-up and materials. We also procure a lot of our technology and other technology components are contributed by our staff. We work with the HOA and Management to improve things like stage lighting, sound systems and other technical equipment. In addition our scripts are at time written by staff or purchased from a professional writer. We do have expenses, but we make sure our charge is reasonable enough for everyone to attend.
